Magic Weighted Blanket has another site Zero Gravity Zen where they have their one of a kind Zero Gravity Zen Bags. Like the Magic Weighted Blanket the Zero Gravity Zen Bag is also the first of it’s kind.
This is a great piece of furniture for Back to the Dorm. It’s light, easy to carry and really doesn’t take up much space at all.
The zero gravity position was created by NASA when they saw that the astronauts bodies automatically assumed a particular positions when they were relaxed in microgravity.
Neutral Body Posture or as you may know it Zero Gravity Position is a much more comfortable position with your legs elevated above your heart and your back reclined at 130° angle
Now you can know what it feels like for an astronaut to go to space, well kind of.
When the box was delivered I was wondering how I was going to get it up three flights of stairs, cause the box was huge. Fortunately it only weighs 10 lbs, it was so light that I was able to carry it upstairs by myself. As you can see in the below image your bean bag will come folded and then unfolds very nicely. It even looks super comfy and inviting.
The Zero Gravity Zen Bag provides a variety of health benefits. Sitting position provides support to spine and pelvis, improves your blood flow and you don’t get as tired as you normally would from just sitting around. You can rest, relax, meditate, watch tv, read a book or just lay down and decompress.
Reduced Spinal Compression: Sitting with the spinal column at a 90° angle forces the vertebrae to compress, causing discomfort. Reclining back at a 130° angle helps he vertebrae to remain open and pain free. This is extremely helpful after sitting at a desk all day.
Crossed Legs Without Restricted Blood Flow And Swelling: Sitting on the floor with your legs crossed can cause blood vessels to constrict and cause your nerves and knee joints to stretch and tighten beyond a natural or comfortable position. This can rapidly lead to poor blood flow and knee joint soreness.
Legs Elevated Above The Heart: When reclining back with your legs elevated above your heart you feel comfortable. Because of this your blood flow is getting better as your heart no longer has to overcompensate for the gravity. After being on your feet all day, elevating your legs over your heart is an effective way to reduce pressure on your veins and give you better circulation.
Increased Lung Capacity: You’ll experience increased lung capacity, improved respiration, making deep controlled breathing easier and more effective, because your diaphragm is in the zero gravity position.
Decreased Muscle Tension: Sitting at a 90° angle in the lotus position or at work, puts stress on the muscles to maintain and support the upright position, causing muscle fatigue. Reclining at a 130° angle allows those muscles to relax and rejuvenate.
Angled Sky Ward: Being reclined back, angles you sky ward, facing the sky putting you in a more natural and comfortable way to relax or to reach a higher state of meditation.
My favorite time to lay on my Zero Gravity Zen Bag is after a long day of work, I love laying on it and watching tv at night. I get so comfortable that I’ve fallen asleep a few times on it and once I even slept through the entire night. I expected to have a sore neck and lower back when I got up, but I didn’t. I felt great. Cause it’s so light I move it room to room as it’s needed and it doesn’t take up much space on the floor at all because it’s thinner than most bean bags, still being wide enough though to be able to lay down and enjoy it. Being able to move a huge bean bag is a luxury. I had two other bean bags in the past and I couldn’t get them through the doorways never mind to a different room. Not being overwhelmingly big, bulky and heavy is a big part of why I like it so much.
Cleaning is very easy too. If you spill or drop something little on it you can wipe it right off or if and when it’s needed to be cleaned, you can remove the cover and wash it. The outer cover is made of Poly/Cotton Twill & Lycra/Spandex top for added comfort. It has a really nice and soft feel to it.
It’s filled with High Density Polystyrene (Foam) Mini Beads. Knowing it was filled with mini beads, I half expected to have a little bit of a mess after opening the box and when I first used it, luckily I haven’t seen one bead.
This bean bag will definitely perfect for back to school, but is also perfect for men, women and children of all ages. Would go good in a dorm, bedroom, living room or anywhere else you’d like to use it. If you’d like to be comfortable and feel stress free and at ease, then this is for you.
I’ve used Magic Weighted Blankets in the past and know how great of a brand and products they make, so I knew that this Zero Gravity Zen Bag would be made with the same love, care and dedication to make it the best it can possibly be. It’s a high quality product that’s made very well. You may have to possibly add some more beads to it down the road or over the years, but that’s an easy thing to do and an expected thing to have to do.
There’s also an Outdoor Zero Gravity Zen Bag available, which is the same as this one but has a different outer cover of course. Head over to zerogravityzen.com to get your zen bag. Plus don’t forget to enter for a chance to win one below
